I mentioned it before, and I'm finally able to share these recordings made by our Band Pro. The players are all teenagers in Central Ohio. I'm very proud of what they were able to accomplish with only 4 rehearsals! Watch out for these kids once performing live resumes!
I'm pretty pumped. My Band Pro group I've music directed just finished up two days of recording sessions! They tracked some great stuff, and I'm really looking forward to hearing the final mixes! I'll share them here when I get them.
I have been asked to sing and play guitar for a new Sunday evening event happening at Worthington Presbyterian Church at 5pm. I played one already this month, and will be doing another one this Sunday! (October dates TBA soon!)
I've let Salem Presbyterian Church know that I don't feel comfortable leading a singing event in the middle of a pandemic. So, they've asked me to direct in 2021 instead. See you then!
I'm proud to announce that I've been asked to direct the Gymanfa Ganu in Venedocia this Labor Day Weekend! For the majority of you who don't know what that is, allow me to give you a little more info:
Gymanfa Ganu is a Welsh Hymn-Singing Festival.
Imagine a church sanctuary where people sit by SATB voice parts and sing many hymns in 4-part harmony.
It is really hard to put into words what this is really like. But, I'm extremely honored to have been asked to direct this year. I have been attending this event since I was 1 year old and haven't missed too many over the past 30+ years.
If you love singing with lots of emotion and passion and love singing in SATB harmony, you should join us! I will be posting more information in the coming months.
I've included a video of my brothers, cousin, and dad singing (my mom was playing piano) as special music at the 2012 Gymanfa Ganu in Venedocia, OH. Enjoy!

This guy built both of the basses I play most. My orange/red and my blue/white Motto basses were handcrafted by Jon Hill. He’s currently building me a custom semi-hollow bass as well. Please share this video, so more people can learn about Jon’s amazing work.
This weekend, try something new and different with us. Shady Drive has had the opportunity to play as the unplugged trio for occasional private functions. This is the first public performance where you can hear us playing your favorites unplugged. Don’t think that just because we’re unplugged that the show won’t rock…it will! Check us … Continue reading Shady Drive: Unplugged→
